Laura has over twenty-five years of experience litigating complex business, trade secret, and intellectual property cases.  Her practice concentrates in business torts and contract disputes, trademarks, copyrights, unfair competition and trade secrets, rights of privacy and publicity, false advertising, employment, and class actions.

Laura has represented employers and employees in pre-litigation disputes and in state and federal courts on claims involving discrimination and retaliation under Title VII and corresponding state statutes on the basis of sex, age, race, pregnancy, religion, and other protected classes.  She also has represented and advised clients in matters regarding employment agreements, compensation, and termination, access to and protection of proprietary information, and employment policies and best practices

She is experienced in all aspects of litigation, including case assessment, management and strategy, discovery, law and motion, trial, mediation and arbitration, and settlement.  She also negotiates, drafts, reviews, and advises clients on contracts, including nondisclosure, confidentiality, joint defense, partnership and settlement agreements.

In addition to managing all aspects of litigation cases, Laura has substantial experience in handling cases before federal and state courts of appeal.
